Web & Graphic Design

A website can do much more than just online sales. A website keeps you in contact with your customers by providing information and answering questions. Use a content management system to maintain content easily or add interactive features. Add databases, discussion forums or other features to collect and share information in real time and even provide new services to expand your business. Share information securely with operations in other locations, or with partners, suppliers and key customers, CMC will help you to plan, design and build a dynamic, attention-getting, and useful website, whether it is a simple information site, an e-commerce site, or a full online information management system.

Our Design Portfolio

Welcome to Cold Mountain's Interactive design portfolio, where we will show you a few of the hundreds of sites we have built over the last 9 years. To navigate the portfolio, use the tabs on the right hand side of the "book" and select the area of interest you want to explore. There are 2 major sections, the "Website Design" section which contains specifically graphics created for websites, and the "Interactive" section which has all of the flash, video, and other types of design media.

Design Process

Stage 1
The first stage involves you or your group working with our graphic artists directly to come up with ideas. At this stage people can contribute by showing us websites that they like or don’t like so that the artist can get a feel for the types of things your organization is looking for.

Stage 2
The 2nd stage is where all your notes and ideas are used to create 3 different layouts incorporating all the feedback from the pencil sketches. This is the first chance for clients to examine their layouts and give feedback as to changes they would like based upon the first round. From here the artist will come back with another set of refined images for you and your organization to examine and comment on.

Stage 3
The 3rd stage is where you see a static image of what your site will look like as it would be represented on the web. Often when a site has a lot of interactivity this will be placed on a temporary web site so it can be examined and played with. This is the final point where minor changes can be made to the site graphics and layout.

Final Stage
The final stage is where the static image created in the previous step is converted to a fully working website “skin” .  This skin is a template that is used to create the pages on your site.
